WinSCP is an amazing utility to have in your utility belt. However something that I noticed was a bit unintuitive to find when using WinSCP to view files on Unix / Linux machines was viewing hidden files and folders. It turns out it’s just a simple checkbox in the settings menu, it also has a simple hot key!
Viewing hidden files in WinSCP:
Hot key: CTRL+ALT+H
Under the preferences, click on Panels on the left and check mark ‘Show hidden files’
Once enabled you should immediately see the hidden files that start with a period in your right hand panel.
